Your role with us

As Sales Manager at sovity, you own both new customer acquisition and the strategic management of our most important customers and leads. You drive the full sales cycle — from identifying and engaging potential customers to closing contracts — while building long-term, trusted relationships with key accounts. Your focus is on the automotive, manufacturing and other industries with complex products and supply chains. This role offers you a clear path to grow into the Head of Sales position and strategically lead sovity’s commercial function. Your responsibilities include:

  • New Business & Pipeline Building: Independently identify, qualify and engage potential customers (outbound & inbound). You systematically build a strong pipeline and drive deals to close.
  • Key Account Management: You take strategic ownership of our most important existing customers, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and continuously develop the accounts. Your goal: turn customers into long-term partners.
  • Full-Cycle Sales: You manage the entire sales process — from first contact through discovery calls and product demos to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Customer Relationships & Trusted Advisory: You build deep, trusted relationships with decision-makers and domain experts. Through your understanding of your customers’ challenges, you become a valued partner at eye level.
  • Network & Partnerships: You cultivate and expand our network in relevant ecosystems (e.g. Catena-X) and build relationships with partners, multipliers and decision-makers.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Close alignment with our Customer Success team, product development and marketing to translate customer needs into solutions and feed insights back into product strategy.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Continuous monitoring of market trends, competitive activities and customer needs to optimise our go-to-market strategy.

What you bring with you

  • Experience: You have 3–5 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, ideally with complex technical products or platform solutions.
  • Hunter Qualities: You are driven to open new doors, yet you combine both worlds: you enjoy finding new business opportunities — and at the same time have the relationship instinct to develop and retain key accounts over the long term.
  • Industry Knowledge: Ideally you bring experience in automotive, manufacturing or industrial IoT. Experience in data spaces or data platform environments is a plus.
  • Process & Tools: You work in a structured way with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot), are familiar with modern sales methodologies and can clearly describe your pipeline process.
  • Communication Skills: You can convey complex technical solutions clearly and persuasively to different stakeholders — from IT managers to C-level executives. You build trust and are perceived as a competent sparring partner.
  • Ownership & Drive: You thrive in a dynamic environment, work proactively and independently and want to achieve measurable results.
  • Languages: You speak and write fluent German and English.
